Organized by: The Ropewalk
Learn, develop and embrace your skills of working with ink and watercolour with Eleanor Tomlinson to create your own bespoke building portrait in a day with her new workshop held at The Ropewalk. Eleanor will be sharing a range or tips and techniques for drawing in pencil and ink fine liners before working with watercolour to create your own original ink and watercolour artwork featuring your home, special venue or location of choice. The perfect addition and special piece for your home or a beautiful handmade gift for a loved one for a birthday, anniversary, Christmas and so much more!
Eleanor’s ink and watercolour workshop day will be split into two parts. In the morning we will explore techniques and methods for working with pencil, fine liners and watercolour through a range of short demonstrations and activities to understand the foundations of creating characterful building illustrations. Bring a photo to work from of your chosen building as we work to create our individual and personal illustrations. Eleanor will take each participant through the pencil drawing stage ready to be continued and finished in the afternoon.
In the afternoon we will continue with our individual ink and watercolour pieces. Eleanor will come round individually to offer any help or advice on a 1:1 basis as each participant draws in pen and then paints in watercolour, working at their own pace.
