Organized by: Barton Civic Society
Explore Historic Barton upon Humber and its Victorian past with Barton Civic Society on Saturday 1 July.
The Victorian Walk starts and ends at the Wilderspin National School Museum on Queen Street (DN18 5QP) where there is car parking and where refreshments are available from The Old School Canteen. The school museum and coffee shop are open between 10am and 4pm.
The Walk is free (but donations are welcome in support of the Civic Society’s work) and is approximately 90 minutes long (wear good walking footwear and be prepared for rain or sunshine), with a few stopping points where there is seating – and several drop-off points if it proves too strenuous!)
It begins at 10am in the Joseph Wright Hall, accessible from the rear of the Wilderspin School Museum.
Hidden History tells of Barton upon Humber's fascinating history through a collection of media including original and authentic photographs, video clips, narration and text.
