History teacher Susan Evans’ first job was in Grimsby and wanting to give departing French colleagues momentoes to take home she collected driftwood from the beach and made them into personal gifts. So began her passion and interest in making “toys” out of wood and found pieces. She decorates wood to create toys and sculptures telling stories that appeal to both adults and children.
