Organized by: Heritage Open Days
Historian Keith Miller guides these one-hour tours of the Great Hall and grounds at Tyrwhitt Hall. Dating back to at least the 15th century, Tyrwhitt Hall is a late medieval residence with additions and alterations made in the 17th and 18th centuries. The hall is named after the Tyrwhitt baronets who lived here in the 16th century. Sculptor, singer, and choirmaster Philip Pape also lived and worked here from 1960 to 1982, and is commemorated by a blue plaque outside. Tours at 10am, 12noon, 3pm.
