Roots musician Benji Kirkpatrick returns to Ropery Hall for the second time in little more than a month, this time with his band, The Excess. Benji has long been the guitar and bouzouki-playing powerhouse at the core of successful bands Bellowhead, Seth Lakeman and Faustus. His aim is to bring roots music to the mainstream fusing a range of styles with alt-rock, drawing on his Led Zeppelin and Hendrix influences.
