What was once Hall’s Barton Ropery, a busy and thriving rope making factory, is now home to The Ropewalk. This impressive quarter-mile long Grade II listed building proudly celebrates art, craft and heritage with regularly-changing exhibitions, an Accredited Museum, artists’ studios and more.

If you have ever walked the adjoining path towards the Humber Bank, and wondered what happens behind the scenes at The Ropewalk, now is your chance to find out! Come to the next Open Day on Saturday, April 15, and meet the team whilst exploring this fascinating historic building. The doors will open from 10am to 4pm, with plenty of opportunity to peruse the galleries and artists’ studios. The artists and creative industries who lease units in the building will be demonstrating and discussing their work throughout the day, including hands-on workshops, yoga sessions and youth theatre projects. The day is also the perfect opportunity to book your tickets for upcoming live music, theatre and comedy at Ropery Hall.
