From June 26 to July 5, the Barton Arts Festival will be celebrating arts and culture against the backdrop of some Barton’s most historic buildings.  This year the Festival includes old favourites, internationally known performers and, of course, plenty of opportunities to showcase local talent.

The 18^th Festival starts on June 26 with folk legend Vin Garbutt. and continues the following night with the uplifting music of  the world famous Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band.

One event not to be missed is on July 3 when author Michael Morpurgo will read from his award winning book War Horse. He will be  joined by acclaimed musicians John Tams and Barry Coope, who will accompany him with the rousing yet haunting songs specially composed by John Tams for the National Theatre’s award-winning production of War Horse.

In addition there will be Acoustic Barnfest at The Old Mill, Doncaster Concert Band, Dyad Productions theatre performance I, Elizabeth, the Humber to the Wash Open Art Exhibition at The Ropewalk, Film Night, a Tango evening and much more.
