Heritage Open Days – September 6 – 15

Barton upon Humber Heritage Open Days are being held between Friday September 6 and Sunday September 15. These 10 days reach into the history of the town from St Peter’s Church through to one of the town’s World War Two air raid shelters. This is the annual opportunity to experience a glimpse into the town’s rich past. This year’s events follow the theme Routes – Networks – Connections – and promise to unveil hidden gems, celebrate local industry, and tell the story of Barton’s journey through the ages.
A range of historic buildings from museums to boat yards are all throwing their doors open offering residents and visitors alike the chance to look into the intriguing history of the town with talks by local historians, interactive exhibitions, and family-friendly activities bringing history to life.
