Organised by the Wilderspin School Museum & Barton Civic Society and held in the Joseph Wright Hall, Dr. Andrew Walker, Chair of the Society for Lincolnshire History & Archaeology, delivers the inaugural Rex Russell Memorial Lecture as part of Heritage Open Days 2024. The talk will examine the phenomenon of rough music, which Rex referred to in a number of his works. This was a communal means of protesting, usually about actions taking place that contravened societal norms. Book now for the pre lecture buffet at 12.30pm. Cost £10.
