Creative skills are an asset which enhances our lives; they feed into everyday things, such as cooking, gardening and practical activities, whilst also being a route to relaxation for some, perhaps a sense of achievement, learning, or “time out”.
This six-week autumn course begins with drawing techniques – using different materials and methods, as well as ways of looking at and seeing things in order to create observational studies or develop designs.
Suitable for those new to a creative journey as well as those who regularly make time for creativity and wish to further develop their skills, the first three weeks entails a mix of working from still life and 2D imagery to form subjects and interests along with a variety of resources to inspire and inform.
The course then allows for each participant to concentrate on a particular process or subject so that all develop in their own areas of interest – perhaps expanding into painting, mixed media, or stitch – with the support and guidance of Linda.
Hidden History tells of Barton upon Humber's fascinating history through a collection of media including original and authentic photographs, video clips, narration and text.
