The Ropewalk is hosting an Open Studios Weekend this weekend (Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September)  when 15 studio artists and craft-makers as well as the Ropewalk Printmakers will be opening their doors to display, show and explain their craft. Painters, artists, printmakers, mixed media and multi-media artists will be in their studios alongside a textile artist, digital illustrator and furniture maker showing what they are doing behind normally closed doors. If you want to travel a little further afield New Holland artists Alex Hallowes and Pete Rogers of Welban House, Humber Bank West in New Holland will also be welcoming the public as will Winterton jewellery Alistair Scargall, of Harrison’s Barn, Winterton, who will be opening his studio on Sunday, September 29 only. The Barton and New Holland studios are open both days between 10am and 5pm while Alistair will be welcoming visitors between 10.30am and 4.30pm.
