The annual Picnic in the Park takes place on Sunday, August 5 in the picturesque setting of Baysgarth Park.
Running between 12 noon and  4pm attractions include a circus workshop with Earthbound Misfits, entertainment from Mr Shiney and a craft workshop led by the local children’s art charity ST-ART.

During  the afternoon the Barton Community Band will be playing and Baron Park Bowls Club will be giving demonstrations.
In addition there will be children’s races starting at 2.15pm, a dance and fitness demonstration, face painting and airbrush tattoos, and the Barton Lions catering trailer and Roe’s ice-cream.
