Barton Civic Society’s final talk for 2021

The final lecture of Barton Civic Society’s 2021 programme is on Friday (Nov 19) when Neil Wilkyn analyses a probate inventory, a document compiled after an individual’s death listing all that they owned. This example gives us a tantalising glimpse into the home of a Barton resident in the sixteenth century. What possessions did they have? What was their furniture like? A chance to look through a window into a house from 500 years ago.
The talk takes place  at 7:30pm, in the Joseph Wright Hall (ground floor) at the Wilderspin National School Museum on Queen Street, DN18 5QP. There is car parking and facilities for disabled visitors.
For up-to-date information visit www.bartoncivicsociety.co.uk. Admission for Civic Society members is free and just £2 for non-members.
