Return of Barton Carnival Weekend

The Barton Carnival returns to Baysgarth Park this weekend and features a number of attractions including a dog and duck show, live music, a parade, a stunt man and a a 13-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex!

Festivities begin on Saturday with the Carnival Parade that leaves Tesco at mid-day with other attractions including a dog show, birds of prey, Wonder Wheelers, Circus Avago, kids arts and crafts, exotic animals, donkey rides, character mascots and a bouncy castle.

The Carnival will be turning yellow in support of Aaron Winstanley this year with an Aaron’s army section in our parade, live music on stage, collection buckets around the event and we will be donating 10p from every entry to the cause. On top of this five stalls are booked and ready to go in full support including a photo booth, cake stall, tombola, hair braiding and accessories and merchandise.

The Carnival ends in fine style on Sunday afternoon with a flypast by the Red Arrows that is scheduled for 4.11pm.

More details can be found on the Carnival’s Facebook page.
