Free Social Media Training for Barton businesses, voluntary groups and organisations

Calling all Barton businesses, voluntary groups and organisations – do you need a social media boost?  Would you like some free practical guidance, including tips and techniques to make the best of your organisation’s presence online?  Local marketing expert Jo Marwood is delivering a series of workshops covering a range of social media channels in April and May, free of charge at The Ropewalk and the Wilderspin School Museum in Barton:

 Introduction to Twitter for your organisation

We’ll look at how to create an account, build different lists of email addresses, create a campaign, send and monitor results

 Introduction to Facebook for your organisation

Tuesday, May 2 from 10am – 11.45am – Wilderspin School Museum 

We’ll explore how to set up your personal Facebook account, populate your profile and make connections, before moving on to learning how to create a ‘business’ page and start to showcase your organisation.

Make your Facebook page work for your organisation

Tuesday, May 23 from 10am – 11.45am – The Ropewalk

An intermediate workshop for existing Facebook page users, exploring how to optimise content, engage with your audience and generate results.  We’ll discuss Facebook posting ‘best practice’, promoted adverts, analysis tools and sharing content. An existing Facebook ‘business’ page is essential for this workshop.

 For all workshops, knowledge of how to use a computer is essential.  Introductory workshops are suitable for beginners to social media, whereas the intermediate Facebook session is aimed at people who have already set up a Facebook business page.  Please bring a notebook and pen, and lots of enthusiasm!  Due to time constraints we will be unable to offer one-to-one guidance at these sessions, but questions are welcomed and all presentations will be emailed following the workshop.
