Allotment Show and Performance in Park this weekend

This weekend is a busy one in Barton with the town’s Allotment Society is holding its 65th Open Horticultural Show on Saturday, August 15 at the Lecture Hall on Holydyke.  Doors open to the public at 2pm and admission is free.

On Sunday the spotlight turns to Baysgarth Park with the first of two Performance in the Parks in August.

This bright and colourful show is full to the brim with toe-tapping action.  The hour long performance by old friends The Storytellers Theatre Company is sure to captivate all who watch and listen.  Let the Storytellers take you on a journey through some of Hans Christian Andersen’s most famous fairy tales.

The performance starts at 2pm and is free.  Refreshments will be available at Baysgarth House Museum in aid of Museum funds.
