Now just over a year old this Saturday’s Farmers’ Market on Barton’s King Street is the last opportunity to pick up the very best in local produce from the farmer or producer before Christmas.

From hand-crafted chocolates and home-baked cakes to fresh meat and artisan breads there will be something for everyone to make Christmas that little more special.

There will be also be a festive feel to the market with the Barton Salvation Army Band playing between 10am and 11.30am.

The market, which runs from 9am to 1pm has since it first began in November 2010 attracted shoppers from within Barton as well as the surrounding areas and the north bank.
