Welcome to Barton upon Humber

This charming town on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds in the shadow of the Humber Bridge has a lot to offer the visitor. In medieval times Barton was the most important port on the Humber and has many fine merchants' houses. Today the town centre is home to a wide range of friendly independent shops, welcoming eateries and museums. Regular events and performances are held through out the year.

Easter Craft and Gift Fair at Water’s Edge

Come along to the Water’s Edge Visitor Centre over the Easter weekend on Saturday, March 31 and Sunday April 1 for this popular two day event.  Over two floors, there are hundreds of handmade gift ideas for all the family.  An added attraction this year is seeing artisans at work making handmade products.  The Craft and Gift Fair is open on both days between 10am and 4pm and admission is free.

Barton Civic Society Talk – Dr John Ball

Barton upon Humber Civic Society continue their 2018 programme of talks on Friday 16 March at the Joseph Wright Hall.   The talk originally programmed for 16 March at Trinity Methodist Church has had to be cancelled.  Instead, Dr. John Ball will be sharing his personal researches over many years into Barton’s history from the 13th century.  The talk will be held at the Joseph Wright Hall and starts at 7.30pm.
