This collection of more than 14 entertaining storyboards, posters, photographs, first edition books, Get Carter film script, Ted Lewis diary, writing and sketches plot the novelist’s rise from a sickly but lovable young boy through jazz and graphics to success in many areas of live before a tragic early death.

Ted was a pupil at Barton Grammar School and went on to study at Hull College of Art and Design where he played piano in the Unity Jazz Band before going on to make a career in graphics.  His last work was on The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine.  He wrote nine novels, the most well-known, Jack’s Return Home, becoming the film Get Carter starring Michael Caine.
