Christmas in Barton

The highly anticipated Christmas Art Market takes place at Barton upon Humber’s The Ropewalk over the weekend of Saturday December 3 and Sunday December 4 with a total of 41 makers and artists taking part.

Those artists selected sell original handmade work and all stalls will run down the corridor from the Artspace.  On sale will be a host of ideas for Christmas gifts including jewellery, prints, paintings, handmade cards, ceramics, and woodwork.

The Art Market also coincides with the opening weekend of The Ropewalk’s annual  Studio Artists’ Show in the Artspace and the Christmas Show in Gallery One which gives further opportunities to purchase that  extra special Christmas gift.

The Art Market will also feature the popular Cake Tombola with monies raised going towards the Ropery Hall extension fund.

The Art Market runs from 10am until 4pm on both days and admission is free.

Across town Baysgarth House Museum is hosting its annual Christmas Fair  on Saturday, December 3 with craft stalls, refreshments, raffle and tombola, and children’s tales and trails that take place every half hour from 12midday.

There is free entry although there may be a small charge for children’s activities.  All proceeds will go towards supporting the CHAMP Charitable trust.
