Barton born West End actor Paul Tate returns to his home town to direct A Christmas Carol with the new community drama group he founded, Friends At Barton (FAB).  Paul left Barton 30 years ago to pursue a professional career as an actor.

About 11 years ago he returned in his professional capacity to direct the BADAO productions of Oliver and The Wizard of Oz and missed it so much that he decided to form FAB.  For A Christmas Carol, Paul has adapted the book into a stage play which although it is a traditional telling of the Dickens’ classic does promise a few surprises!

This production, taking place at the Joseph Wright Hall between Monday, December 5 to Wednesday, December 7 and starting at 7.30pm, is supporting the Lindsey Lodge Hospice, St Andrew’s Hospice, the Brain Tumour Organisation, and Scunthorpe Samaritans.  Tickets cost £5.
