In the 1990s, classically trained pianist Williamson founded indie band Goya Dress which consisted of Williamson, Terry de Castro, and Simon Pearson. Goya Dress made one album Rooms which was produced by John Cale but dissolved in 1996, after which Willamson went on to release solo material sometimes using only her first name. Williamson has worked in collaboration with various groups including Oskar and the experimental band, The Bilderberg Groop. She has also worked with Canadian Singer/Songwriter Tara Maclean and provided vocals for The Hope Blister and 1990s supergroup Electronic.
