Christmas in Barton

Barton is getting into the Christmas spirit this weekend with a two-day Christmas Art Market at the Ropewalk and a Christmais Fair on the Saturday at Baysgarth House Museum.

At The Ropewalk the corridors artists will be manning more than 40 stalls with work from the region’s artists and craft makers selling a wide selection of unusual handmade gifts not sourced on the high street.

The Art Market is open from 10am to 4pm on December 5 and 6, and admission is free.  There will also be a Cake Tombola on both days to raise funds for the Ropery Hall extension.

Across town at Baysgarth House Museum, Friends of Baysgarth House Museum is holding its annual Christmas Fair on Saturday, December 5 between 10am and 3.30pm.  Enjoy craft stalls, homemade cakes and refreshments and come and meet Father Christmas and listen to Castledyke School Choir.  Entry is free.
