Barton Civic Society continues Great War commemorations

Barton Civic Society continues its Great War commemorations with a talk by local historian Laurie Robinson about the Barton Territorials.

Based on extensive research over many years, and drawing on family photographs loaned or donated to Mr. Robinson, this talk coincides, almost to the day, with the centenary of one of the worst days in the War for Barton men.

The talk is being held at the Assembly Rooms on Queen Street on Friday, October 16, and begins at 7.30pm.  All talks are free to members, but a charge of £2 will be made to non-members on the door.
